A steel mill, VINASTEEL, was put into operation at the Vinh Loc Industrial Zone in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City, on Sept. 17 after more than two years' construction.

The mill was built with an investment capital of 95 billion VND on an area of 10,000 sq.m.

The mill will produce 50,000 tonnes of steel per year in the first phase and its capacity will be increased to 100,000 tonnes per year in the final phase.
